Collegiate took 6th out of 11 teams at the 2002 Clover Hill Invitational, with
10 wrestlers competing. Check the full results below. All the finalists wrestled well
and showed improvement from last year. Newcomer Edward Trope started off his
varsity career strong by taking the bronze medal, and reached the medal match

with a last second escape against an opponent from
Phoebus. The Prices showed a tremendous gain in
technique from last year, and suffered only in giving up
size to their opponents. Taylor Emerson picked up a
win, also facing some tough opponents at 112. For
David Coleman and Ben Schewel, this was their first
wrestling tournament, and they looked good for guys
on the mat for the first time. Look for improvement
from this team as the season progresses.
